All Jackson County Schools will be closed tomorrow, Friday, April 17th, to allow for a thorough spring cleaning of campuses and buses as we work to reduce the spread of illness. The health and safety of our students and staff remain our top priority, and this precautionary step will help ensure a safe learning environment for everyone.
Twelve-month employees will report to work as scheduled to assist with this process. All extracurricular activities will continue tomorrow as scheduled.
Parents, we truly need your support to help keep our schools healthy. Please monitor your child closely for any symptoms of illness, including nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, or diarrhea. If your child or any household member is experiencing symptoms, please keep them home. Keeping sick children at home is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of illness in our schools.
Students and staff should be symptom-free for at least 24 hours before returning to school or work. By working together, we can help protect the well-being of all students and staff.
By taking these three days, we hope to give everyone time to fully recover from sickness before school on Monday. We look forward to seeing everyone back on campus Monday morning.
